Guide

Which grass for your lawn?

There is no best grass, only the best grass for your site. Here are the ones that work in India, what they need, and where they struggle.

Our method

How we choose

We take a soil sample and record sun, shade, water source, drainage and how the lawn will be used. Our software matches these to a seed and mulch mix. On most sites the answer is a blend rather than a single grass, so the lawn copes with both the sunny and the shaded corners.

Avoid these

Common mistakes

  • A fine show grass on a lawn children play on.
  • A full-sun grass under trees.
  • A thirsty grass where water is scarce or salty.
  • Turf of one variety laid over soil it was never grown in.
