Hydroseeding is priced per area, and the rate moves with the site. Here is what moves it, how it compares with turf, and how we build an estimate.

How it compares with turf rolls and hand seeding
Public listings from nurseries and suppliers in India price natural turf rolls at anywhere from a few rupees to several tens of rupees per square foot, before laying, transport and the heavy watering turf needs to root. The spread is wide because grass variety and city vary.
Hydroseeding has no grown grass to buy, cut, transport or lay. The cost is seed, mulch, machine time and crew. On most sites that comes to less than turf, and the gap grows with area and slope.
Hand seeding has the lowest material cost and the highest chance of being done twice.
